COLLABORATION OPPORTUNITIES
Musika Nova cares deeply about fostering communication between art forms. Opportunities to work with the improvisation ensemble on co-inspired music/art work exist, as do opportunities for writers to collaborate with composers on text-setting for vocal works, as well as collaborations between choreographers, dancers, musicians, and composers. The limitations are veritably endless, and all types of creativity are welcomed by Musika Nova.
CROSS-DEPARTMENTALEXPOSURE
Musika Nova brings in a dedicated crowd of progressive music students who are interested in engaging with and getting to know other creators and their works.
LARGE SCALE
INTERDISCIPLINARY PROJECTS
Individual members of Musika Nova have created several large scale interdisciplinary creations. Such examples include sound art/visual art installations, collaborating on a chamber opera with a student librettist, setting poetry by student poets for art song, providing dance music for parties, and accompanying the works of choreographers for showcase recitals.
